This blend is a cool grey colour but has an unusual characteristic. Instead of using silk to add sheen, it has ramie, which is the shiniest of the plant fibres. Ramie is a type of bast fibre, which means it it found in the stalk of a plant. Like other bast fibres, ramie is very strong. It has a long staple similar to silk and like silk, it is a very fine fibre. It is white and adds a nice contrast to the grey wools in this blend.
Our Naturally series of blends are combinations of naturally coloured fibres for those who prefer to work with undyed fibres or who have a sensitivity to dyes. You have the option to spin it as is, or blend the fibres together more to create a more uniform blend.
Note: Although we try our best to accurately represent the colours in our photos, differences in monitors could mean that the colour you see on your screen is different from the fibre colour.
